Driving Test Practical

You can only book your practical test once you have passed the theory test.

You must pass the practical test within 2 years of passing the theory.

Your driving test will start with an eyesight check and some vehicle safety questions. You will then start your practical driving test which will include some specific manoeuvres.

The driving part of your test will last about 40 minutes. Throughout the test your examiner will be looking for an overall safe standard of driving, including when you are carrying out the set exercises.

You are allowed only 15 minor faults and no serious or dangerous faults.

Pass Plus is a scheme specially designed to offer new drivers additional training in a diverse range of scenarios such as night time driving, motorway driving, hazards and various road conditions.

Drivers who undertake the Pass Plus course can get discounts on insurance premiums through participating insurance companies.
